New York Yankees 10-0 Oakland Athletics

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Yankees’ power hitters kept up their home run onslaught, leaving Carlos Rodón in amazement. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Anthony Volpe all launched balls over the wall, with Judge notching his 54th homer of the season. Fueled by this offensive firepower, the Yankees cruised to a commanding 10-0 win against the Oakland Athletics.

The Yankees extended their lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East to five games—their largest margin this season—following a commanding win. Aaron Boone celebrated a major achievement with his 600th victory as a manager.

Despite the success, the team remains grounded, avoiding early celebrations. Carlos Rodón delivered another strong outing, striking out four and allowing just one walk, securing his second straight win and surpassing his previous career-high in victories.

Yankees Take Advantage of A’s Farewell Mood

A crowd of 33,198 A’s fans filled the Coliseum for an emotional evening, marked by a postgame drone and fireworks show. It was the final homestand before the team temporarily relocates to Sacramento for the next three seasons. However, the celebratory atmosphere was overshadowed by the Yankees, who took advantage of an A’s squad struggling to find its footing. Oakland has now lost four consecutive home games, with just four more to play before the move.

The Yankees quickly got to A’s starter JP Sears, as Gleyber Torres and Juan Soto kicked things off with back-to-back singles, followed by a walk to Aaron Judge to load the bases. While Giancarlo Stanton grounded into a double play, it brought in the first run, and Jasson Dominguez followed with an RBI single, setting the stage for a lopsided Yankees victory.

Despite striking out six, Sears struggled to hold off the Yankees’ potent lineup, allowing six runs on nine hits over five innings. A notable stat looms over this result: the Yankees are a staggering 44-4 (including playoffs) when both Judge and Stanton homer in the same game.
