It would be a mistake to write off the New York Yankees‘ chances of making it all the way to the World Series just because they haven’t been the most consistent team this season. Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, Nestor Cortes Jr., and Gerrit Cole are all contributing to the success of the pinstripes this season through collective leadership.

The only thing this team is missing is a steady performance. Nevertheless, over the course of the past few weeks, the Pinstripes have seen a marked improvement in their fortunes. A short while ago, the Yankees also won the AL East division championship for the 20th time in the history of the franchise.

Anthony Rizzo, a slugger for the Yankees, has stated that the team is already planning to win the championship this season as they prepare for the postseason games.

Anthony Rizzo discusses the Yankees’ championship plans

The New York Yankees are the most successful franchise in Major League Baseball, but in the past few years, they have not been able to bring home a major championship. The Bronx is clamoring for titles at the moment. On the other hand, the Yankees are facing some new challenges this season.

Anthony Rizzo is not in a rush at all. During an interview with Marly Rivera of ESPN, the Yankees slugger discussed the team’s strategies for capturing the World Series title. He stated that they want to take things one step at a time.

“This is a really strong division this year. That’s been proven, and we have done a good job all year. We all had a great start. I was able to get off to good start and then make the playoffs, too. We won the division and now it’s ALDS and ALCS and hopefully World Series. So, one step at a time….”

“We have the group, we have the team. At the end of it, I think the best team is going to win…”

Notably, given that Anthony Rizzo is already a world champion, and can better advise on how to improve their chances of winning the World Series.

Do the Yankees have a chance for the World Series?

Major League Baseball currently has four formidable teams competing for the title of World Series champion. These teams are the Houston Astros, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Even if the Yankees are victorious over the Astros in the American League, they will still have to take on one of the powerhouse teams in the National League in order to win the championship. And they will not be an easy team to beat, especially when it comes to games in the World Series.

How do you see the likelihood of the Yankees winning the World Series this year? Do you agree with Anthony Rizzo?
