Taylor Swift is a juggernaut in the music industry. She might be a no-brainer for the Grammys, but in the realm of the NFL, she throws a bit of a curveball thanks to her romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. While she may not be lining up alongside Kelce, Swift has surprisingly become an inside joke within the storied halls of the New York Yankees for the past five years.

The ball is in Taylor Swift’s court, and whether you like it or not, Miss Taylor Swift is part of a show that anyone would imagine. Yes, the duel between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will have a special guest during this Super Bowl Sunday. As stated by multiple sources, Taylor Swift traveled from Japan to Las Vegas to avoid missing this game. Before the clock strikes kickoff at 7 P.M. EST, let’s rewind to three instances when Miss America crossed paths with the Bronx Bombers.

Anthony Rizzo’s Taylor Swift tribute after a crucial MLB victory

Anthony Rizzo, Yankees player and Taylor Swift

In July of 2023, the New York Yankees secured a pivotal three-game sweep against the Kansas City Royals with unexpected help from the music world. Anthony Rizzo, known for his unabashed love for Taylor Swift, made waves by swapping his usual walk-up song for Swift’s hit track “…Ready For It?” The seasoned first baseman’s gesture seemed to invigorate his performance, as he delivered a remarkable 4-for-4 outing, including a home run and two RBIs, breaking free from a recent slump.

“It’s her season, no doubt,” Rizzo remarked, acknowledging Swift’s pervasive influence. “Wherever she goes, magic follows.”

Anthony Rizzo‘s devotion to Swift dates back to his days with the Chicago Cubs, where he frequently featured her music as his walk-up soundtrack. His teammate Aaron Judge even revealed Rizzo’s splurging on Swift merchandise during her “Eras Tour” stop in New York, cementing his status as a dedicated fan.

Yankees Embrace Juan Soto with a Taylor Swift Tribute Video

In December, Juan Soto transitioned from the San Diego Padres to the New York Yankees in a high-profile trade deal involving five players. Social media erupted with excitement following the announcement, culminating in a captivating tribute video featuring Soto’s career home runs set to Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York.”

MLB enthusiasts hailed the video as a masterpiece, with fans expressing their delight at the seamless fusion of sports and pop culture. Even those not traditionally drawn to the Yankees were captivated by the tribute, a testament to Swift’s ability to unite diverse audiences through her music.

Taylor Swift receives honorary recognition at Yankee Stadium

In a lucky twist of fate, Taylor Swift found herself at Yankee Stadium, adorned in her honorary robe, receiving a doctorate of fine arts from New York University. Reflecting on her journey and offering advice to the class of 2022, Swift emphasized resilience and the importance of embracing life’s challenges. In her signature red lipstick and newfound academic regalia, Swift charmed the assembled graduates with her trademark wit and humility.

As Taylor Swift continues to make waves in both the music and sports worlds, her presence adds an element of unpredictability and excitement to every stage she graces. Whether belting out chart-topping hits or inspiring awe on the field, Swift’s impact transcends boundaries, leaving an indelible mark wherever she goes. And who knows? Perhaps this season will again see Taylor Swift intertwined with the fabric of the New York Yankees as the whimsical dance between music and sports continues unabated.
