The Mariners Will Look to Bounce Back After a Crushing Loss to The Yankees on Monday
The New York Yankees will host the Seattle Mariners in game two of a three-game series tonight, following a 7-2 victory in game one. Will they be able to defend their home field once more, or will the Mariners respond?
The Yankees are still the best team in baseball for the time being, but their play has taken a slight dip since Giancarlo Stanton was placed on the disabled list. But don’t worry, they’re still the Yankees and can sign any player they want to fill his role, which this time is Andrew Benintendi. The Yankees are 70-34 on the season and have a 12.0 game lead over the Blue Jays in the AL East. Jameson Taillon, who is 10-2 with a 3.72 ERA this season, will take the mound for the Yankees tonight. He’s a top pitcher for a reason, and he’ll look to keep the Mariners at bay once more tonight.
