Domingo German had the worst performance of the night during the 2-10 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night. Consequently, the New York Yankees fans are incensed with him, expressing strong dissatisfaction and asserting that the coach, Aaron Boone, ‘was not good enough’ to effectively lead a team as esteemed as the Yankees.
The stats don’t lie
Statistically, Domingo German gave up 10 runs in three innings. In addition, he pitched 3.1 innings, allowed 8 hits, 8 earned runs, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts, and threw 93 pitches. To make matters worse, German has delivered only 17 runs in his last two starts for the Yankees.
According to Russ Gardiner, Domingo German became the first Yankees pitcher since Whitey Ford on July 2, 1966, to allow 10+ runs and 4+ home runs in a game. Ford achieved this against the second incarnation of the Senators in DC.
Furthermore, as stated by journalist Kaitie Sharp, Domingo German holds the distinction of being the only pitcher in Yankees history, within any 2-game span in a season, to allow 17+ runs while facing fewer than 40 batters. The numbers speak for themselves; German’s performance was one of the worst in MLB history.
Domingo German’s lackluster performance leaves fans disappointed
Domingo German’s lackluster performance left fans thoroughly disappointed, as their high expectations quickly dwindled after just two innings. The frustration among Yankees fans was tangible as they expressed their discontent with his flawed game against the Mariners.
Many supporters couldn’t help but question how many runs he would ultimately surrender in this particular match.
They anxiously pondered whether German’s struggles were indicative of a larger issue or merely a temporary setback.
Moreover, some fans even attempted to analyze and make sense of his on-pitch behavior and underlying aspects contributing to his underwhelming performance.
With all that being said, the fans expressed their frustration with Domingo German’s performance tonight, leading to discussions about his future with the Yankees. Therefore, the question arises: Should he stay or should he consider exploring other opportunities away from New York?

The Yankees historically pick up other teams pitchers after they’ve had a good year e d up in New York and don’t do shit. Look at all of the broke dick arms the Yankees have on the IL. Two of them have yet to throw a pitch or very few regardless. Severing was a beast before his arm injury. I really like Seve, but he either needs to come around or they need to look and trade him. Other than Cole, name another reliable starter. Why they ever traded Jordan Montgomery was ridiculous. The Yankees need to start flushing the toilet. They need to get rid o
f McDonald and if Stanton doesn’t turn his season around they need to trade him too.
