The patient pursuit of history by Aaron Judge has not yet paid off. And the Yankees fans were not happy about it on Saturday, regardless of who was to blame. As soon as Judge got his walk, they reviled the Orioles’ pitcher with “a-hole” chant.
The Yankees superstar failed to hit a home run for the second day in a row, going 0-2 with two walks, two strikeouts, and a hit by a pitch during the Yankees’ 8-0 victory over the Orioles on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
After Aaron Judge received his second walk of the game, the crowd began chanting the word “a–hole” at Orioles pitcher Spenser Watkins.
Aaron Judge currently has 61 home runs for the season, which is tied with Roger Maris for the franchise record, the American League record, and Major League Baseball’s (MLB’s) single-season record that is clean of steroids. On Wednesday, he hit his 61st home run to help the Yankees beat the Blue Jays.
