Cheers and boos intermingled as Aaron Judge showcased his talents in a memorable game against the team he once cheered for but ultimately didn’t join as a free agent. Friday night saw the slugger power the New York Yankees to a 6-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants in front of 35,018 fans at Oracle Park.

Aaron Judge’s stellar performance included a pair of home runs, contributing significantly to the Yankees’ triumph. Postgame, he shared insights with the Yes Network, appearing resolute after delivering a decisive win over his childhood team.

Aaron Judge began his Friday night with an infield hit in the first inning and followed it with a three-run homer in the third. He continued to dazzle, hitting another home run off Hicks in the fifth inning and capping the evening with a solo shot in the sixth. This impressive display brought his totals to 14 home runs and 27 RBIs for the month.

When asked about playing in San Francisco, Aaron Judge remarked that it was “great” and noted the packed house and “rowdy” fans, highlighting the presence of his family and friends, which made the experience enjoyable. He expressed regret at missing out on playing in 2019 when the Yankees visited but was pleased to have finally done so now.

Yes Network quoted Aaron Judge saying,” Yeah, you dream a bit in the backyard, you know. Playing around a little bit, and Kruk and Kuip I have heard over the years. Calling the game, hear all the homers Barry hit here, pretty cool, so happy to come away with Wayne, with one.”

Responding to the question about his feeling after boos from Giants fans, he replied,” It was great, packed house, fans are rowdy had family and friends there. So, it was fun. I wish I could have played ’19. We saved it until now. “

Despite the mixed reactions from approximately 40,000 fans, Aaron Judge remained unfazed, stating that he didn’t mind the boos and hadn’t known what to expect. His commanding performance at the plate underscored his composed attitude toward the hostile crowd.

Aaron Judge once again etched his name into the history books, becoming the only player in MLB history to achieve 35 career multi-homer games in fewer than 1,000 games. This milestone came during Friday night’s contest against the Giants, where Judge’s power display was a key highlight. His outstanding May saw him batting .371 with a 1.415 OPS, underscoring an impressive month for the Yankees’ standout outfielder.

In the past three seasons, Aaron Judge has cemented his reputation as one of baseball’s elite hitters. He broke the American League record with 62 home runs in 2022 and followed it with 37 homers in 2023, despite missing 56 games due to injury.

As May 2024 concluded, his performance in front of San Francisco fans — whom he once joined in cheering from the stands — showcased his soaring confidence. Now 31, Aaron Judge leads the AL in both doubles and homers, demonstrating a relentless drive to break records and continue his extraordinary career trajectory.

Aaron Judge claims Steph Curry came to Oracle Park Visit

Steph Curry, along with his son Canon, daughter Ryan, and several Warriors teammates, attended Friday’s Giants-Yankees game at Oracle Park. However, Aaron Judge suggested that the Bay Area celebrities were there to witness the visiting Yankees rather than support their local MLB team.

Following his two-home run performance that powered New York to a 6-2 victory, Aaron Judge told the YES Network that Curry’s group was present “to see the Yankees do their thing.” He confidently added that the Yankees “will put on another show for them tomorrow.”

It would be surprising if Curry, a self-proclaimed Boston Red Sox fan, was primarily there to support the Yankees, given their storied rivalry with the Red Sox.

Aaron Judge put on a stellar display in his first career game at Oracle Park, smashing two home runs into the bleachers. The 2022 AL MVP’s performance was particularly poignant as a Northern California native who grew up attending Giants games at the ballpark by the Bay.

Curry, alongside Dr. Clarence B. Jones—speechwriter for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and contributor to the iconic “I Have a Dream” speech—threw out the ceremonial first pitch as the Giants celebrated African-American heritage night.

While Aaron Judge claimed that the Yankees were the main attraction for Curry’s group, it is possible that Curry and his Warriors teammates were simply enjoying a marquee matchup between two iconic MLB franchises during a break from celebrating their NBA title.

Two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry was spotted in the Giants’ dugout playing catch with his son Canon, who donned a Giants hat instead of Yankees gear. Later, Curry and Canon were seen in a suite with Warriors teammates Brandin Podziemski, Gui Santos, and Lester Quinones.

Aaron Judge confidently stated that Curry’s group attended the game specifically to watch the visiting Yankees play. However, their activities suggested they might have been enjoying a game between two legendary franchises.
