After an entire month away from the field, Aaron Judge has officially resumed training with the New York Yankees, indicating clear signs that his return is imminent. Despite concerns raised by Aaron Judge’s recent comments about his toe injury, both the slugger and Yankees officials are optimistic about his recovery. Aaron Judge provided a reassuring update on his progress, stating that he is doing great and expressing confidence in his return from the sprained right big toe. He clarified that his earlier comments were not intended to cause alarm but emphasized the ongoing management often required for injuries even after a player’s return.

As Andy Martino of SNY stated, the Yankees share this optimism and believe Judge will return to the field this season. While the timeline remains uncertain, Judge’s recent progress in activities like playing catch and hitting is a positive sign. He has ruled out surgery before the offseason, indicating his commitment to returning to the team.

Manager Aaron Boone‘s cautious approach should not be misconstrued as pessimism but rather his realistic view that guarantees cannot be made in sports. Boone consistently maintains that he cannot guarantee anyone’s return to play. Judge has been cautious about providing specific timelines for injuries since his previous experience with a prolonged recovery in 2018.

Despite missing Judge, the Yankees have been performing well, winning two of three games against Baltimore, who currently lead them in the American League East and Wild Card standings. With a 6-4 record in their last ten games and notable series victories against Texas and Baltimore, the team is holding its own without Judge’s presence on the field.
