A press release by the New York Yankees has called off the Yankees vs. Twins game scheduled for Tuesday. It cited the forecast of persistently poor weather as the reason for the postponement.
On Monday, the Yankees beat the Twins 2-1.
The next game will be played on Wednesday at 3:05 p.m. as the first game of a single-admission doubleheader. The second game won’t begin before 7:05 p.m. If the first game goes past 6:35 p.m., the second game would start about 30 minutes after the end of the first game.
Tickets purchased for tonight’s (Tuesday, September 6) Yankees vs. Twins game will not be accepted for the single-admission doubleheader that will take place on Wednesday, September 7.
On Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m., all gates at Yankee Stadium will open to spectators who have valid tickets for that day’s game against the Twins.
The Yankees’ rain check policy, which can be found at www.yankees.com/raincheck, states that fans with paid tickets for tonight’s game (Tuesday, September 6) can exchange them for tickets to a similar regular season game at Yankee Stadium if there are any left.
The Yankees vs. Twins game on Wednesday, 3:05 EST, will feature Domingo German and the broadcast is scheduled on Prime Video. In the second game, Gerrit Cole, who was slated to pitch today, will take the nightcap at 6:35 EST and will be shown on the YES Network.
Tickets that were complimentary or given under the Commissioner’s Initiative for Kids for tonight’s Yankees vs. Twins game (Tuesday, September 6) cannot be used for any other games. COMP tickets or tickets with the same value have no cash value and these don’t come with any extra benefits that may come with tickets with a dollar value.
