Gerrit Cole, wife Amy welcome second son Everett

The Cole family now has a new member in the starting lineup. Gerrit Cole and his wife Amy had their second child, a boy named Everett, on Tuesday. The couple said that Everett is “the newest love of our lives.”

In an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, the Yankees star, who is 32 years old, is seen holding his new baby at the hospital. He was there with his wife Amy and their older son Caden, who is 2 years old. Caden seems to be enjoying his new role as “big brother.”

In response to Amy’s post, everyone in MLB wished her well, including the Yankees, who said, “Congratulations!!

Reagan Elizabeth Bregman, who is married to Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, wrote, “Hi Everett, we love you.” Cheyenne Woods, Aaron Hicks’s wife, said, “Congratulations!!! He is so beautiful!”

Amy and Cole have been married since 2016, and they told people they were expecting at the beginning of September.

“Our littlest Cole is sliding into our home soon! Due at the ball drop,” Amy shared on Instagram.

At the time, Amy posed with Cole and Caden on the pitching mound at Yankee Stadium. She put her hand on her growing baby bump for a picture. In a separate photo, Caden, who was born in June 2020, held up a onesie that said “Littlest Cole.”
